Showing some of my process in this post. For this I started with drawing pens, a few different ink nibs and brushes drawing from life. I tend to draw from life, reportage being the main focus rather than imagination, not always but mostly. The Quink ink is so beautiful to draw with, love the subtle tones it gives.
Then when leaving that to dry and start on the background shown here in fuschia pink ink with two other pinks and make a dreamy soft shape. The harder defined lines are generally on the first ink layer above so I want a contrast in the final piece.
In Photoshop I combine both layers and try to limit the editing so its as true to the original colours. Now ready to print on things! Next I want to see some of my drawings like this one on fabrics that can be applied on so many new things :))
Roll up Roll up! Delighted to be part of this 3rd Edition group show with the Polska Éire Festival 2019 in the Art Cafe with beautiful work by Photographer Emilia Biedrzycka and painting by Aga Szot! Opening next Friday 31st June-one of my goals this year was to be part of a group show and this is so great to be part of with lovely people!
My studio wall with a mix of my work, notes and artist’s/illustrator’s work i love to look at, a reminder that the bar is high and motivation to keep making new drawings and trying out new ideas. This is a changing wall so always something interesting to see:)
